EARLY INTERVENTION SPECIALIST
The Early Intervention Specialist provides in-home and community-based educational social services, in collaboration with the parents, to children who are described as having a developmental disability. The role of the facilitator is to educate families in child development, stimulate developmental milestones, and to assess and monitor the child's development. The early intervention specialist works in a team with OT, PT, & Speech Therapists. Integrates child and family into the community.
Requirements for this position are a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development, Liberal Studies, or a related field. 1 or more years of Early Childhood Education required. Must have family-focused one-on-one experience with children and their families. Bilingual a plus.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Occupational Therapist provides in-home, family-focused intervention/therapy within a transdisciplinary team. MUST HAVE pediatric experience in areas such as feeding, sensory integration, fine motor, etc.
Requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration, a minimum of 1 year experience working hands-on with children, aged 0-5 years, preferably individually and/or in a group setting providing occupational therapy, knowledge of special education and the various syndromes, disabilities, etc. Bilingual a plus.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Physical Therapist provides in-home, family-focused assessment/intervention within a transdisciplinary team. MUST HAVE pediatric experience.
Requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy with current license, a minimum of 1 year experience working hands-on with children, aged 0-5 years, preferably individually and/or in a group setting providing occupational therapy, knowledge of special education and the various syndromes, disabilities, etc. Bilingual a plus.
SPEECH THERAPIST
Speech Therapist provides in-home, family-focused assessment/intervention within a transdisciplinary team. MUST HAVE pediatric experience.
The speech therapist provides therapy to children who are described as being developmentally disabled. Speech therapy consists of parent training, hands-on therapy stimulation, assessing and monitoring related development fields, such as expressive language, receptive language, social-emotional and oral-motor, as well as accessing and utilizing community resources. Speech therapist provides written reports on every child served, including initial evaluations, daily activity sheets, monthly monitoring updates, twice yearly evaluations, and closing evaluations for children transitioning out of early intervention services.
Requirements for this position are a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Language AND a current license, a minimum of 1 year experience working hands-on with children aged 0-5 years, preferably individually and/or in a group setting providing speech therapy, knowledge of special education and the various syndromes, disabilities, etc. Bilingual a plus.
